yo @everyone w an abusive piece of shit father
you are NOT required to love or ~appreciate~ your father
your father keeping a roof over your head/food on the table/whatever does not make him a person you are required to love or respect
if he abuses you, you are NOT required to forgive him. you are not required to love him. you are not required to respect him.
also know that you are not alone.
“I Don’t Hate This Female Character, I Only Hate The Lazy Writing and Shallow Male-Based Wish Fulfillment That Went Into Her”, an increasingly frustrated ongoing novel.
stop condemning female characters for having the exact same traits that your favorite male characters have
This summer’s cancer fight. I won
Amazing!!
transness and gender variance aren’t pissing contests to see who’s most dysphoric or best fits the image of cisnormative ideas of trans people, don’t be afraid to explore your gender just because someone is wrongfully acting like a gatekeeper to the community
can we stop blaming poor people for buying cheap products that were made in sweatshops? can we stop acting like alternatives to products that are made through things like child labor are always accessible and/or affordable? can we stop talking like participation in the game of capitalism is always a choice made willingly and not something poor people are forced to play a part in even when they don’t want to?
she/her pronouns =/= being a girl
he/him pronouns =/= being a boy
pronouns =/= gender
-Linkara’s introduction to his review of Captain America Comics #1 (via kradeiz)
Never let it be swept under the rug. There was a lot of pressure for America to either stay neutral, or even to go in on the side of the Nazi’s, before Pearl Harbor (and after, to only declare war on Japan). Celebrities like Charles Lindbergh were pro Nazi, and not shy about their opinions.

Captain America was created by two Jews during World War II and you’re telling me he’d be a conservative.
Everyone is different and the way a disorder affects one person isn’t always true for everyone. It’s best to ask.

i am so mad right now like. hayley atwell has repeatedly said it makes he uncomfortable when fans call her “mom” and then when she tweets that she’s going to start blocking people for it they respond to her tweet “sorry mom!” like grow the fuck up, your weird attempt at tumblr dot com “”humor”” isn’t funny when you are making real people uncomfortable and weirded out, you are not funny, stop
it’s an attempted term of endearment, and i get that. i tag almost every photoset/gif of dana scully that i have ever reblogged as “mom” or some variant of that. but i think what people have trouble remembering is that there is a type of humor and a type of dialect that is very specific to this particular website, and is not something that people outside of that very specific dynamic will always appreciate, and that is 100% understandable. like considering it from hayley’s pov, it would be pretty fucking uncomfortable to be a childless 32 year old actress and having a bunch of random fans calling you “mom” on EVERY!! THING!!! YOU TWEET!!!
that would make lots of people uncomfortable. and she’s stated that she doesn’t like it repeatedly which like, if you’re a decent person, you don’t call someone something that you know they do not like to be called. this is a very specific brand of tumblr dot com humor that should not be aimed at actors and actresses. like. when you @ a celebrity you follow, try and keep in mind that it is NOT all fun and games, that they are not some shrouded figurehead idol that doesn’t actually have feelings, but are actually a real person who can and very well might see what you say. so. anyways

this hit me really fucking hard
Damn
